Even though I came upon it just recently, this one has been around for many years and with good reason. The Sedona Method is a self-contained system, from beginning to end, for releasing your emotions and staying in the moment. I’ve been studying this rather extensively myself lately, and have found a great resource that I’ll be only too happy to keep and use going forward.
Discovery:
I first found out about the Sedona Method by doing research on the various presenters in the The Secret. One that I rather liked was Hale Dwoskin. I was doing some other digging at the time, looking for a fully functional system for handling emotions, with BAM, the two came together. I looked at the price for the Super-Deluxe-Study-At-Home package, and then went down to my local Borders and picked up the book for a tiny fraction of the price.
First impressions:
The text is printed in such a way as to make it easily readable, but (and this is my only gripe with the book), Hale is a little wordy. He also repeats his points, but this is intentional for the following reason:
The basic mechanism and process of the book are revealed at the beginning. The rest is how to apply it.
This impressed me for two reasons: First, I like simplicity in any tool, and such simplicity in a system sparked my interest. Secondly, they don’t waste much time getting to the good stuff. There is some backstory, but they don’t hold out on you. I found out later the reason for the repetition is that people tend to expect such a powerful technique to be much harder and more complex than it is. Thus, the hammering of the basic message.
Initial use:
I started working with it at a basic level, to see if I had something worthwhile or if it was just a fad. I had a few persistent problems that EFT (a.k.a. Energy Psychology) hadn’t been able to handle completely, and still bothered me. I also wanted to see if the Sedona Method, which was entirely internal, was as effective.
I found out that it was even better for my purposes. Since I didn’t need to use the EFT tapping techniques I was able to stay in the moment a lot more.
Long-term results:
It’s been a while since the live test, but I find that I just keep going and going. My releasing is getting more effective as I go and my mental/emotional state is improving right alongside. I have noticed that I intuitively integrate it into tools and methods that I already have and use, but I firmly believe that it stands on its own as an excellent tool and resource. You can read more about the Sedona Method here.
(P.S. You can get a DVD for just the cost of shipping with most of the same content by going to their main site,.)
