I started out this blog trying to keep myself out of it as much as possible. What I have slowly come to realize over time is that doing so doesn't really serve my purpose. I created this blog to turn into something of a community resource, and if people think that there's nobody home, nobody will read it. Now, however, I can be much more direct and open. I briefly wondered if my writing the story was an "ego trip", but I figured that if it was, I'd find out real quick. Surprisingly, yes. I started out this blog trying to keep myself out of it as much as possible. What I have slowly come to realize over time is that doing so doesn’t really serve my purpose. I was nervous as to whether or not to tell my story, but I figured that it would help explain things better. Summer and I e-mailed for a few weeks (think it was over a month) before we actually met face-to-face. It was a year and a half before we were married, although we were both committed not long after we started dating. We wanted to be sure. I know that a year and a half is a lot to glaze over in a few paragraphs, but there's a lot of stuff in there that doesn't really pertain, and I didn't want to put people to sleep :-) I’m glad you enjoyed the post.
