Thanks for the comment, and for pointing out my oversight! Cognitive biases strike again, but you were right, it comes out much the same in the end.

In your application of Occam's razor your first count missed an assumption. The statement "the nature of reality is not completely objective and that synchronicities exist and that this is one such" has three assumptions:

1) the nature of reality is not completely objective.
2) synchronicities exist
3) this is one such

Two or three assumptions for either statement, depending on interpretation. Occam would be unsure. Actually Occam would probably lean towards the objective view. None-the-less his razor can't be applied directly to those statements.

Ironically a subjective view of reality, and increasing confidence in that view, positive effects or not, is completely in agreement with an objective view, once you understand a little psychology. Cognitive biases are pervasive, and extremely potent.

In the end we're all saying the same thing, we're just using different words :p

I'm much the same, but I'd say it a bit differently. I'd say that whatever one experiences is real. By changing yourself you change your reality. I've seen it and I've done it, and I continue to do it. I write so I can share this with anyone who is drawn to read it.

I really belive that one can alter his universe by changing the way he thinks.
All we see isn't even the "real" world. Each of us sees the world different, based on perception, filters and beliefs.
Everything in the universe is energy, and the way we "program" ourselves to interpret that energy makes the difference.
